Mother's Day and Birthday cards

A big hello to all my scrapping crafting friends. Hope you are all doing well and enjoying some wonderful weather. Down my way, it has been gloomy thunder showers on and off and it feels humid and stuffy. Enough about the weather, I want to show you two cards I made a while back and did not have a chance to post.  The first is a Mother's day card I did for my sister. I used the little darlings paper and the butterfly embellishment is from  K& Company and I used worn lipstick distress ink on the edges and  a pretty punch from Martha Stewart  to finish the card. The Second card  I made for a little girls birthday. she was turning one ( such a precious time) I used white card stock and  paper from K&Company Itsy Bitsy. I added the diecut cupcake  from hot off the press and stickers from another pad whose name I don't recall at the moment and I cut out the Birthday words and paste it on, so easy. Hope you like these and  have a wonderful crafting week my friends.

I'm back with two cards and some tags too.

Hello Everybody, hope you are all doing well and have been having some crafting  fun. Today I want to show you some Tags I did for a card swap in early  April.  I will try  entering these tags in some of the challenges going around. As most of my followers know I take classes with Laura from Following the paper trail,  she hosted this tag swap and received about 2,700 tags which she now needs to put into groups and mail to all who participated. the tags were  to be made on 4X6 card stock and the 3 groups were Grungy, Shabby chic and French country. I chose two groups  Shabby and Grungy (had to do 8 of each) I  am posting the one's I did and I will post the one's I receive when they get here.

I am also posting some Pics of two cards I did on National scrapbook day. I will be entering these two cards in some challenges. for the first card I used a Kenny K digi stamp, They are just awesome and I have purchased quite a few. I made it for my beautiful niece (Adri) when she came to visit, her birthday had just past (so glad she liked it). I used the piano paper from the Performance stack from DCWV  and the rose and chip board banner was from the imortal line from the same company, it was plain so I stamped  the sentiment on it and the image was fussy cut and colored with Copic markers.

For the second card I made I used a wonderful digital image from one of my favorite artist Robert Jackson (he has some of the most fun images) and this image called (tha bump) brought me back to the 70's where disco was all the rage and then there was a show called Soul train and they did this type of dancing (It was  a early morning dancing show on T.V.). For this card I used a lot of solid color cardstock and DCWV pattern paper and  a bunch of Martha  Stewart punches in pretty borders and the Fisker's paper edgers in my favorite pattern (Imperial edge). I also used chipboard, felt flowers and ribbon and rubber stamps and  all images were fussy cut and colored up with Copic markers. Well my friends, this is all for now. Thanks so much for viewing and have a wonderful week. Hugs and God bless!

Here are two of the tags I kept for myself  from the Grungy and Shabby   group . I made a total of 18 tags   and I mailed out 16 and kept these last two. This was my first tag swap and also the first time I ever made tags from scratch (Yay).

I took some cream vintage paper and stamped the saying all over the page then I cut the saying with paper edgers and used vintage photo distressed ink on the edges. I also used colorbox  chalk ink pad in white on the tag itself with a pretty clear back ground stamp from Anna Griffin.( love all her scraping stuff).

The flowers are from studio 18 and had to be assembled. They are 4 layers and I added the button brads.

These are my interpretation of shabby chic, I tried to make these exactly the same.

I like using the corner chompers in  stub and angle to cut the edges of the tags.

Here I was assembling after I punched out he chain in the metallic paper and  the keys were cut out using the Cricut cartridge Vintage romance.

Here are the  eight tags I sent out in the grungy group . they did not have to be exact but in similar  papers and tones.

And here are the pics of the 2 cards I  made, hopefully I will be able to enter them in some challenges. They are really so different from each other, one brings back memories the other is pretty and sassy. Hope you all like them.

The image is from Kenny K and  the piano paper is from DCWV .

This is the inside of the card  the red with the glitter stripes is a DCWV paper that I punched out with a gaint circle punch I have from Marvy. And I colored the little  butterfly with my markers after I stamped the design.

And here is the finished card I fussy cut the image and left a little edge around it , if you feel it looks bad please let me know and I will try to cut closer to the edge. I am knew and all your comments help me to get better. I liked this chip board banner and stamped  the oh happy day on it with Staz on ink pad.

Here I am getting ready for the second card.

Here I also used the same little stamp from the first card but I used different paper and  colored the butterfly  with my markers. and I pinked the edge all around using the Fiskers imperial edger.

I had so much fun doing this card I just love Robert Jackson's  designs. His art is so nostalgic takes me back in time to fun days and happier times (Well enough daydreaming for me). I'm happy crafting and I hope you all like this one too. I used a bunch punches from the Martha Stewart line and  all the paper is solid or textured card stock. and the image was fussy cut and colored with Copic markers.
